Alex Vignoli

Brazil, 1965

Award winning and multi-faceted visual artist, Alex Vignoli, was inspired as a youth by the photographs his father took in Gaza and Europe during a peacekeeping tour with the United Nations. Taking his cues from Dali, Escher and Man Ray amongst numerous other surrealists, Vignoli began his journey in the visual arts over thirty years ago, all the while, embracing the fine arts lexicon as something beyond creation alone. Vignoli’s work has appeared in over fifty exhibitions and is found in private and corporate collections in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Great Britain, France, Germany, Guatemala, Greece, Japan, Mexico, Norway, Spain, Portugal and the United States.

A graduate of Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais (UEMG) in Brazil with a major in Visual Communication, Vignoli found his way to the United States at the age of 25. He went on to be certified in computer graphics by United Digital Artists at the Apple Computer Center in NYC and, in the early 2000s, Vignoli taught for several years at Southampton College. The artist currently resides in Southampton NY with his wife and sons.
