Camille Feinberg

United States

Born in Los Angeles, Camille Feinberg is a multi-faceted artist whose work ranges from delicate, paradisiacal painted images to conceptual drawings and objects offering the artist’s observations of and commentary on a variety of personal, societal and political issues.  “Being an artist is about how I perceive the world.  It could be paint and canvas, words and objects, collage, or small works.  It should be revolutionary,” says Feinberg.

Feinberg was part of Manhattan’s downtown scene for many years and, during that era, she both made art and performed in the works of a number of avant-garde luminaries including playwright/director Richard Foreman and performance artist, Stuart Sherman amongst others.  During the course of her career, Feinberg’s art has appeared in a number of solo and group exhibitions in both Los Angeles and New York City.

Feinberg attended Pasadena City College, California Institute for the Arts, and Rutgers University.  The artist lives and works in Los Angeles.
