Sally Lelong is a sculpturist whose work reveals the intricate-yet-recurring and disjointed interaction of word, image and movement.  With communication as her muse, Lelong creates sculptures using the figurative and conceptual genres to communicate about and comment on a broad variety of topics.

The artist’s installations have appeared in cities around the globe including London, Limerick, Marseille, Nimes, Rotterdam, Ghent, Istanbul and Dubai.  In addition, her work appeared in a group exhibition at the Ronald Feldman Gallery and has been shown in solo exhibitions at  Broome Street Windows in New York City and Galerie du Tableau in Marseille, France.  In 2002, Lelong opened The Phatory LLC, an artist-run art space.

The artist received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in 1978 and later  studied in the graduate Fine Arts program at the City University of New York.  She has been an artist-in-residence at the Triangle Artist Workshop in Luminy, France, the Edna St. Vincent Millay Colony in Austerlitz, New York, and the Friche la Belle De Mai in Marseille, France.  Lelong lives and works in New York City.
